Slower than a normal table? May 27, 2010

After a couple of years of trying to keep our Stiga table dry with various covers outdoors, I decided we needed to get an "Outdoor" ping pong ball table. I did not realize that the silver supports on the sides in the middle of the table are plastic. I am concerned they will not hold up over time. One of the spring loaded pegs they use to flip the table up has already broken, but replaced quickly by Total Table Tennis. My main issue is that it does not bounce like a normal table. It seems soft and slow and somehow a little smaller. Maybe it is the blue color I am not used to making it seem small. Bottom line: If you want a table that will hold up to the weather, I think this will fit the bill, but be prepared for a little different surface than you may be used to.
